MILENA KRAVETZ
Hello, my name is Milena Kravetz, also known by my artist name KATASTROFFFE.
I am mostly known as a provocative Berlin photographer, female director in soft porn as well as photographer for Vogue. I was born on November 5, 1988, and I am currently based in Lisbon, Portugal. I have traveled extensively for work throughout Europe and Asia, having lived in 35 countries. I graduated from the Academy of Art ADA in Florence, Italy, and hold a Master's degree in Fine Art and Sculpture. With a decade of teaching experience in the same field, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge.
In addition to my teaching career, I have contributed to documentary photography and filmmaking projects for UNESCO. In 2017, I received an award for my work as the director of photography on the film "Learn to Play the Game." My artistic endeavors focus on a deep passion for art and documentary photography, often utilizing black and white images to convey my emotions towards people and architecture.
My work has been showcased in approximately 10 exhibitions and featured in over 50 publications across various magazines and popular creative platforms.
Currently, I am actively engaged in producing photography books, also I invest in supporting Sustainable Fashion through the project "WHAT A WASTE!" and I mentor individuals in the fields of Sustainability and Creative Thinking on Substack.

The Art of Becoming Her
This book is about the search for “Her”: a visual and emotional exploration of femininity through portraits, mostly of friends. It comes from moments of connection, communication, and shared presence, questioning what defines female nature, sensuality, and sexuality.
This book is distinguished by perspective. Liberated from the male gaze, the female body shifts meaning when seen by a woman. Offering understanding, intimacy, and recognition, this gaze observes rather than objectifies, and appreciates rather than defines.
This is not to say that there is no erotic sense, but it is one more fluid, more poetic, a state of becoming rather than an identity to perform. It echoes the world of Sappho: fragmented moments charged with desire and attention. There is a language between women that makes these images so natural, a shared experience beyond spectacle.
“Her” is not a singular figure but a shifting presence, be it voice, body, memory. The Greek concept of essential forces — nature, soul, wisdom, earth — is feminine, and this resonates through the work. “Her” becomes elemental.
Larger sizes are priced differently and require a quality check to ensure the resolution is suitable.
